About a full day in Athens
A full day in Athens is the difference between seeing the city and beginning to understand it. The classical core — Acropolis, Plaka, the changing of the guard, the Olympieion — takes a calm morning. The afternoon is where most coach tours leave and where the day actually opens up: the Athens Riviera, the National Garden, Kolonaki for an unhurried Greek coffee, the Panathenaic Stadium for a quiet walk on the only marble stadium in the world.
Our private full-day Athens tour (from €420) is built for guests with one full day in the city — a cruise day, a layover stretched over twenty-four hours, or the first day of a longer stay. The pace is yours. We start with whichever site matters most to you, eat lunch where you'd actually want to go back, and end the day either at sunset on the Riviera or with a refined drive through the upscale northern suburbs, depending on the season and your energy.
Athens rewards the unhurried. Most visitors leave with a single Acropolis photograph and the impression that the city is loud. Spend a full day with a private driver who knows the rhythm of each neighbourhood — when Anafiotika is empty, where to stand for the changing of the guard without the crowd, which Plaka taverna locals actually use — and the city reveals a different scale entirely.
Everything in the day is included except site tickets and meals: the private vehicle and English-speaking driver, hotel pickup and drop-off, on-board Wi-Fi and water, and a small Greek farewell gift. The day runs roughly eight hours and adapts as we go. Most guests, having done it once, ask to extend the next morning to Cape Sounio or Delphi.
