Every chauffeur is licensed, English-speaking, and has driven Athens long enough to know which routes the GPS gets wrong in August traffic. Vehicles are late-model premium saloons and vans, selected according to your route, party size and luggage requirements, with leather seats, climate, water and USB charging. What does a private driver in Athens cost?+
From €280 for a half day (up to 5 hours) and from €420 for a full day (up to 9 hours). Both rates are total for the vehicle, up to 4 guests — never per person. Fuel, tolls, parking and waiting are included. Multi-day driver hire is quoted at €700–825 per day depending on routing.
What's the difference between a private driver and a taxi?+
A taxi runs a meter and is gone the moment you arrive. A private driver is yours for the booked hours — stop for coffee, change plans, add Sounio at the last minute, the price doesn't move. You also get an English-speaking host who actually knows the city, not just the address.
Can the driver also act as a guide at the Acropolis?+
Not in the professional sense, and we are straight about that. Your chauffeur handles transport, timing and logistics and gives you general local assistance and recommendations as you go, but a chauffeur is not a licensed tourist guide and does not provide professional archaeological guiding. Guiding at sites such as the Acropolis or Delphi is a separate licensed role — we arrange a certified guide on request (€180–250 depending on the site).

How do I pay?+
No deposit — you pay the driver on the day, cash or card. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup for single-day hire; multi-day bookings are settled on day one, with free cancellation up to 7 days before.

Yes — Sounio, Delphi, Nafplio, Mycenae, Meteora and beyond. Day trips and multi-day routings are quoted as private experiences (see the recommended journeys above). The same chauffeur and same vehicle stays with you the entire time.
