About the Grand Greece Signature Journey

The Grand Greece Signature Journey is the flagship experience of Elysian Privé — six days that move from the Oracle at Delphi to the monasteries of Meteora, across the Pindos mountains to Metsovo and Ioannina, down through the wild Epirus coast to Parga and the Acheron, and finally south through the Peloponnese to Nafplio and Mycenae before returning to Athens.

The journey is built around a single principle: that Greece reveals itself slowly. Each day has one or two anchor moments — a UNESCO site, a meaningful walk, a long lunch — and a great deal of unstructured time around them. The driver is the same person from start to finish; the relationship matters as much as the route. Hotels are small boutique properties chosen for character rather than rating, with breakfast on a terrace whenever the season allows.

Day one is Delphi and the road north to Kalambaka. Day two is Meteora at sunrise, then over the mountains to Metsovo — a Vlach village famous for its woodwork and aged cheeses. Day three takes in Lake Ioannina and its monastery island, before continuing to the Epirus coast. Day four follows the Acheron River to its mouth and on to Parga, the stone harbour town that defines the western coast. Day five turns south through the Peloponnese, with a stop at Olympia or the coast (your choice). Day six is Nafplio, Mycenae and Epidaurus, returning to Athens for the final evening.

This is the most demanding journey we operate — six full days of curated travel, designed for guests who want to genuinely understand the country rather than collect highlights. From €4,950 for up to four guests, it includes everything except site tickets and meals: the vehicle and driver throughout, six nights in pre-selected boutique hotels with breakfast, on-board Wi-Fi and water, and a personalised farewell hamper at the end of the trip.

    In Their Own Words

    From recent guests

“We took a private trip to Delphi with Gregory. He wasn't a 'taxi' driver — he was a host to Athens and the surrounding areas. Excellent and skillful driver, knew the roads to take when there was traffic, full of knowledge of Greece. Wonderful conversations and perfect recommendations for our stops. I fully recommend him.”

    Private Day Trip to Delphi

“We were lucky to engage Greg at the Athens Airport after another driver refused to take us into the city. He was personable, gave us the lowdown on Athens, and got us to our Airbnb in record time through the back streets. We used him again for a trip outside the city for seven of us — flying colors. I would contact him again in a heartbeat.”
